Milica Cudina will lead our Mathematics Teachers' Circle of Austin (MTCA) on "The Polya Urn Model."
Description: In this talk, we will discuss the celebrated Polya Urn Model. A tongue-in-cheek introduction to the model could be that it’s sampling with replacement plus. We will also discuss how to simulate the model and introduce the idea of a martingale.
Participants earn two CPE hours for each session. We request that you register by noon on April 24 so that we have the needed information for your CPE certificate, the food order, and parking validations.
